We are very fortunate to report that all of our associates have been accounted for and are safe as we have weathered the last two hurricanes in Texas and Florida which have also significantly impacted the entire Southeastern U.S. As our associates have taken care of their responsibilities at home they have returned to our operations in Texas and our associates have already began returning to our operations in Florida and the Southeast.
With our associates accounted for, we have diligently worked to get our operations back up and running and we are pleased to report that we have not sustained any major damages and our manufacturing facilities will have only been impacted for short periods of time in each location as the hurricanes passed and we brought them back online. With the exception of a few depot locations, route services are operational and servicing the needs of our customers in the affected areas and we are coordinating with other locations for any depots that need assistance. In the coming weeks we will be able to better assess any damages and impacts that our customers may have sustained as our route service representatives’ visit their locations throughout Texas, Florida and the Southeast.
Other than some short term logistical delays (which impact short term timing of production or delivery), and some shortages from outside third party suppliers for a limited range of products, our own facilities have come through things well and we have not experienced spikes in commodities directly associated with these hurricanes.
We would like to thank the tremendous efforts of all employees during this period for minimizing business interruption while also ensuring the welfare of themselves, their families and our facilities.
